-Ist phase screening to start from Phase -2 & 7

S. A. S. Nagar, April 22: “The District Administration would undertake the screening of the newspaper hawkers, agents and distributors in the entire District with a view to allay the fears in the minds of public besides for the safety of hawkers/ agents.” This was disclosed here today by the Deputy Commissioner Mr. Girish Dayalan.
Divulging more, he said that the process would be undertaken in a phasewise manner and the first phase would begin on 23rd April, 2020 from Phase – 2 and phase – 7 in Mohali simultaneously.
He also said that about 150 hawkers in phase-2 and nearly the same number in phase 7 amounting to a total of 300 people would be screened from 8 am onwards.
Afterwards, the exercise would be carried out in the entire District. The same drive would be carried out in Zirakpur on April 24.
