Agency examining CLU approvals and administrative decisions linked to real-estate projects
Former Punjab Chief Secretary Anurag Verma and IAS officer Kanwal Preet Brar have come under Enforcement Directorate scrutiny in an alleged ₹200-crore case linked to the Suntec City and Altus Space Builders projects. The agency is examining administrative records, Change of Land Use approvals and subsequent changes to project layouts. Brar has been questioned twice, while Verma did not appear in response to the first summons and is expected to receive another date. Investigators are also examining allegations involving purported forged landowner consent documents. Being summoned or questioned does not establish wrongdoing, and no finding of guilt against the officers should be inferred from the investigation alone.
