-Cooperation Minister congratulates entire department, says hard work paid off
Chandigarh, April 24: “With the recognition of Verka by the Department of Animal Husbandry, Government of India as the brand which ensures the availability of dairy products during the period of lockdown, the premier brand of Punjab has now made a grand echo on the National stage from where there would be no looking back now.” These views were expressed here today in a press communiqué by the Cooperation Minister, Punjab, S. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa.

It is noteworthy that Verka is among the four leading brands of the dairy sector along with other brands which have been recognized by the Union Government’s Animal Husbandry Department for ensuring the availability of dairy products to the common people during the lockdown period.

Terming the achievement as a very special one, S. Randhawa said that now the Milkfed which is so closely connected to the farming sector of Punjab, would make it’s presence felt at the National fora.
The Chairman of the Milkfed, Captain Harminder Singh also while extending congratulations to officers and other staff of Milkfed, termed it as a great morale booster for the cooperative sphere of the State.
