CHANDIGARH: Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring today asked the Director General of Punjab Police to take the threats being issued to late Sidhu Moosewala’s father, Balkaur Singh Sidhu, seriously.
Reacting to threats issued to Balkaur Singh, Warring said, “earlier due to the grave security and intelligence lapse we lost the precious life of Sidhu Moosewala and we must be extra careful this time”.
The PCC president hoped that adequate security will be provided to parents of late Moosewala and those responsible for issuing these threats are identified and brought to book. “It must not be free for all that anybody can threaten and kill anyone”, he said, urging the government to take strong preventive and deterrent measures as there is a sense of fear prevailing among people across Punjab.
At the same time, Warring appealed to all those indulging in violence and killings, to shun this path and start living a normal life. “You don’t get anything by killing each other, it is better you start your lives afresh”, he said, while pointing out how entire families get ruined and destroyed just because of the mistake of one person.
