Police on Saturday arrested three persons with 5.35 kg of ambergris or ‘whale vomit’ worth over 36 crore in Gujarat. Ambergris, produced in the digestive system of sperm whales, is used to make perfumes and musk products.

“The accused have told us that they procured the ambergris… from Junagadh and were trying to sell it in Ahmedabad,” a police official said.
