The urge to keep entertainment away from politics has always been an affair.
Bollywood give an assurance to boycott Pakistan artists, every time India is been attacked by Pakistan. But it doesn’t take long for the film industry to renege.
On account of the terror attack Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has decided to call for a completed ban on all Pakistan artistes.
Chief advisor of FWICE, Ashoke Pandit said, “The damage is worse than anything we can imagine from outside Jammu and Kashmir. It will take years for the damage to be rectified. How did one person manage to sneak into Kashmir with so much RDX? At a time when the terror attacks have reached a point of no return, it is actually hard to believe that some people in our entertainment industry are looking at Pakistan for talent”.
Pandit said that all those music companies and producers who insist on working with artistes from Pakistan will be banned by the FWICE.
Clearly, the incident shattered Pandit, who was in Jammu after the attack.
The diktat issued by FWICE is non-negotiable and Pandit made this clear as he said, “Those producers who insist on working with artistes from Pakistan will be banned by the FWICE. We are officially announcing the inviolable diktat. All those music companies that still insist on using artistes from across the border in spite of repeated attacks on our country should be ashamed of themselves. Since they are showing no shame, we will have to force them to back down.
