WASHINGTON: The US first Hindu lawmaker Tulsi Gabbard is ‘seriously’ considering contesting for the Presidential Elections in 2020.

Tulsi Gabbard said she was seriously considering running for the White House in 2020 and could become the next President.

Gabbard, who served four terms in the US House of Representatives of Hawaii, has indicated for the first time that she may run for the presidency.

According to the news agency, in response to a question related to landing in the presidential election, Ms. Gabbard told MSNBC News, “I am ‘seriously’ considering it.”

Gabbard said that she was concerned about the direction of the country.

If she decides to step in the presidential election, she will be the first Hindu candidate to run for the presidency in the United States.

And in 2020, she might become America’s youngest and first woman president ever.

Before challenging President Donald Trump in the election to be held in November 2020, she will have to fight against her Democratic Party leaders in the initial election at the beginning of that year.

Gabbard has been talking to her party leaders and contacting Indian-American people for their feedback on the issue over the past few weeks.
