Chandigarh, November 16:
As per the instructions of Election Commission of India, New Delhi, the drafting of the last part of the Photo Voters List and Service Voters List in the State of Punjab on the basis of eligibility date 01.01.2021 has been completed on November 16, 2020. It was disclosed by the Chief Electoral Officer Punjab Dr. S. Karuna Raju here today. He said that this entire exercise has been conducted as per the instructions of Election Commission of India.
Dr. Raju said that a virtual meeting was held with the recognized political parties of the state on November 13, 2020 keeping in view the Covid-19 in this regard. After the approval of the Election Commission of India, a CD of the draft photo voter lists (without photo) was mailed to all the registered political parties of State.
