Chandigarh, April 30: Punjab Government has constituted ‘DG Home Guards Commendation Disc’ and ‘Director, Civil Defence Commendation Roll’ to recognise the contribution of Punjab Home Guards Personnel and Civil Defence Personnel, who are diligently performing duties with the synergy of civil administration and Police in the battle against COVID 19.

Disclosing this here today a Spokesperson of Punjab Government said that the State Government has started the scheme of ‘DG Home Guards Commendation Disc’ to recognise the contribution of Punjab Home Guards Personnel including permanent employees and volunteers in COVID 19 related duties.

He further said that similarly ‘Director Civil Defence Commendation Roll’ has been started to recognise contribution of Civil Defence personnel including permanent employees and volunteers.

He said field units have been asked to send recommendations to DG Home Guards-cum-Director Civil Defence within a week.
