The domestic stock markets started on a positive note. The NSE Nifty50 opened at 10,441.70 as compared to its previous close of 10,386.60.
The 30-share Sensex started at 34,650.63 against its last close of 34,442.05.
Just after minutes in trading, the S&P BSE Sensex traded high at 34,580.22, with 138.17 points or 0.40%.
The Nifty50 of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) gained 28.40 points or 0.27% to trade at 10,415.
The intraday high of Nifty is 10,441.90 and that of Sensex is 34,679.93.
According to news reports, Asia-Pacific shares of the MSCI outside Japan mounted 0.9%.
And Wall Street in the overnight trade, on Wednesday rose as bargain hunting of beaten-down technology and strong company results lifted the morale of the investors.
Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex settled at 34,442.05, with 550.92 points or 1.63% higher, while the wider Nifty 50 closed at 10,386.60, with a gain of 188.20 points or 1.85%.
