BRAMPTON, ON (January 29, 2024): The City of Brampton, in partnership with the NHL® , United by Hockey Mobile Museum and Hockey Night in Canada Punjabi, will be hosting a free community skate at Gore Meadows outdoor rink on Monday, February 5.
Residents are invited to come out and enjoy an evening of fun for the entire family including pictures with the Stanley Cup®, free games, activities, meet and greets with special guests, public skating as well as food trucks onsite! The NHL® United by Hockey Mobile Museum will be on site, as well as special guests including Hockey Night in Canada: Punjabi hosts Randip Janda, Amrit Gill, Harp Pandher and Gurp Sian.
United by Hockey Mobile Museum
Celebrate hockey’s trailblazers, changemakers and business leaders in the NHL® United by Hockey Mobile Museum, a free fan experience featuring exclusive artifacts from players, immersive video components, as well as a look at the next generation of young stars, NHL® Officials, broadcasters and women in the game. The traveling museum kicked-off a seven-month tour across North America in October 2023. Whether you’re new to the sport or a hockey fan, there’s something for everyone to discover about the game.

Special Guests
Randip Janda with 10-plus years in sports broadcasting, Randip has become one of Canada’s leading bilingual broadcasters. Randip currently is the host of Hockey Night in Canada Punjabi and is colour commentator of Vancouver Canucks broadcasts on Sportsnet 650. Janda is the first full time radio commentator of South Asian heritage in NHL history.
Amrit Gill became the first woman on Hockey Night in Canada’s Punjabi Edition in 2015. Her work focuses on telling stories that include recognizing individuals whose trials and tribulations in sport have been vastly underrepresented.
Harp Pandher joined the Hockey Night in Canada: Punjabi Edition team in the 2014 as an analyst. Like many Canadians born and raised in Canada, Harpreet grew up watching Hockey Night in Canada and becoming a passionate hockey fan. Harpreet has been active in the Greater Vancouver ball hockey scene, playing in Premier Division in BC and playing at the National Level in Canada.
Gurp Sian joined the Hockey Night in Canada: Punjabi Edition team in 2015 as a colour commentator and analyst. Like many Canadians, he grew up watching Hockey Night in Canada and fell in love with the sport playing street hockey in his hometown of Clearwater, BC. Gurp is an avid sports fan, having played competitive basketball and volleyball in high school and on the men’s volleyball team at Langara College.
