Newsdesk – Amazon has decided to layoff around 10, 000 employees globally from its departments.
In an official statement released by Senior Vice President of Amazon company David Limp, the company has already been notified about the layoffs of the impacted employees and “will continue to work closely with each individual to provide support , including assisting in finding new roles”.
Limp also talked about the unfavourable economic economic conditions as the reason for restructuring and consolidating some teams and programmes. He said one of the consequences is that some roles are not required.
With this retrenchment, Indian employees working with Amazon would also come under effect. Number of impacted employees have taken to social media platforms like linkedIn to share their distress due to the uneven situation.
