Mumbai: The debt and stock and foreign exchange markets are closed on Friday on account of Gurpurab.

All the three markets will resume trading on Monday, i.e., on the 26th of November.

On Thursday, the Indian rupee closed at 70.65 against the US dollar while the 10-year index government bond yield ended at 7.71%.

Meanwhile, the domestic stock market upturned initiate gains to close lower on Thursday’s trading session.

The S&P Bombay Stock Exchange index Sensex settled at 34,981, down 218 points or 0.62%.

While the broader NSE stock index closed 73 points or 0.7% lower at 10,526 against its last close.

Also, Thursday’s trading session finished lower in a third straight row.

Losing between 2.4% and 3%, the top five laggards on the 50-barometer Nifty of NSE were Grasim, Bajaj Finance, Mahindra & Mahindra, Indian Oil, and Hindalco Industries.
