India vs. England Women’s World T20: India’s dream of entering the finals of the ICC Women’s World T20 has ended with a defeat at the hands of England in the semis.
Team England won the match by 8 wickets to come out on top. They will now face Australia in the final of the event.
It was a really tough day for the women’s team because after Smriti Mandhana really set the toll for India.
While India managed just 112-run in their innings, Indian team slumped to 89/2.
India lost their last 8 wickets in 23 runs, which is the biggest cause of defeat.
Apart from this, Indian spinners have failed to make their mark.
Everybody is shocked by the poor performance of the Indian team, who reached the semi-finals without losing in the tournament, against England.
However, India had scored 112 runs in 19.3 overs, in which Smriti Mandhana has scored 34 runs and Jemimah Rodriguez has scored 26 runs.
While Heather Knight took three wickets for England and team England got a target of 113 runs.
Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur has decided to bat first after winning the toss.
While Mithali Raj, senior team player in the semifinal against England, has not been included in the playing eleven.
Their place has been included off-spinner Anuja Patil.
India had made it to the T20 World Cup semi-final for the first time since 2010, but Harmanpreet Kaur’s team was beaten out of the tournament by England.
For not even once, India has played the T20 World Cup. While England, who won the 2009 World Cup, made it to the final for the fourth time.
Apart from that, Australia had twice prevented him from winning the title in 2012 and 2014.
