The Punjab government is going to conduct the Global Kabaddi League from 14th October to 3rd November.
The opening ceremony will take place at the Olympian Surjit Hockey Stadium at Burlton Park.
The Kabaddi league matches will be performed at Jalandhar, Ludhiana with the finals being held at Phase 9 hockey stadium, Mohali.
From 14 to 21 October, the matches will be hosted in Jalandhar, followed by matches from 24 to 29 October will be held at hockey stadium in PAU in Ludhiana.
The final match and closing ceremony will take place from 1st to 3rd November at Mohali.
Sports Minister Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi said, “Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh will be the chief guest at the closing ceremony.”
The total expenditure of the event would be defrayed by the sponsors.
There are a total of six teams coming from across the world.
Six teams, namely, Maple Leaf (Canada), California Eaglea (USA), Doaba Warriors (USA), Black Panthers (Fresno, USA), Singh Warriors (Punjab) and Haryana Lions (India) will participate in the game.
