Chandigarh (Bindu Singh) : Quashing of FIRs by Punjab & Haryana High Court against BJP leader Tejinder Pal Singh Bagga and former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Kumar Vishwas was a huge embarrassment not only for Bhagwant Mann government but also for his political mentor Arvind Kejriwal.
Senior Congress Leader and Punjab’s Leader of the Opposition (LoP) Partap Singh Bajwa made the aforesaid remarks on Wednesday while reprimanding Bhagwant Mann asking him to get his act together and not run the state on his sheer whims and fancies.
The whole world knew sending senior Punjab Police officials all the way to Delhi to nab Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga was a sheer political vendetta and was orchestrated on the directions of Arvind Kejriwal to settle personal scores.
Similarly in the case of Kumar Vishwas too it was only on the direction of Arvind Kejriwal the Punjab Police had registered a case against the renowned poet.
“ Arvind Kejriwal could not tolerate stinging criticism by his old colleague and AAP founder member Kumar Vishwas and wanted to teach him a lesson. That’s why an FIR was registered against him in Rupnagar, Punjab. In both the cases Bagga and Vishwas had allegedly made the statements in Delhi. Hence the Punjab Police had no jurisdiction to go all the way to Delhi to arrest Bagga and register case against Vishwas in Punjab.
“ The quashing of the FIRs by the high court clearly showed that both Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann were acting illegally and were misusing their official position to score brownie points on their rivals ”, added Bajwa.
Bajwa said in the case of appointment of the vice chancellor Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) Bhagwant Mann government has faced yet another embarrassment after his recommendation was plainly turned down by Punjab Governor Banwari Lal Purohit.
Similarly some media reports claimed that A category gangster Deepak Tinu who escaped from the police custody a few days ago due to sheer negligence has been able to reach South Africa. “ If these reports are true it is a huge lapse on the part of Bhagwant Mann government”, added Bajwa.
Bajwa also came down heavily on both the BJP and AAP parties after being thoroughly exposed for their double standards on Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar.
“ Why did Arvind Kejriwal sack his cabinet minister Rajinder Pal Gautam. The minister was merely repeating what Dr. Ambedkar had publiclay done in Nagpur about 66 years ago and the same was published in the books by the BJP’s union government”.
