From the time period drama Kalank was announced, ever since fans have been waiting glimpse of the film.
Produced by Karan Johar, the star studded “Kalank” features Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur in key roles.
Not just Kalank, there is another “Brahmāstra” produced by Karan Johar.
Brahmāstra is a fantasy film written and it stars Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, and Alia Bhatt, and will serve as the first film in a planned trilogy.
Apart from Karan, Alia Bhatt worked round the clock for Kalank and Brahmāstra.
Kalank & Brahmāstra, the mega-starrer movies are very close to KJo and he took his social media handles to share his affection.
Karan Johar’s father, the late Yash Johar, was supposed to direct Kalank. Pre-production had begun, but it got shelved. Now, Karan had made his fathers dream come true.
Producer Karan Johar took to social media to share the first look from Kalank. He wrote, “A film that was born in my heart and mind 15 years ago….a film I passionately believe in…the last film my father worked on before he left us….it was his dream to see this film come through….I couldn’t fulfil his dream then….my spirit was broken….but today his wish has found a relationship with celluloid….the story of turbulent relationships and eternal love has found a voice….the film has been woven,nurtured and visualised by ABHISHEK VARMAN….and the film Is KALANK! Set in the 40’s but its heart lives on…..TOMORROW the journey begins…..am excited …anxious and emotional about this one…I do hope you join us on our path to undying love.”
While sharing the video of Alia & Ranbir’s “Brahmāstra” Karan wrote, “Not all weapons are made equal. Presenting the most powerful of all – #Brahmastra. Watch the official movie logo now!”
The video also features voice-overs of Big B, Alia and Ranbir – where they can be heard talking about the weapon which carries in it the power of the entire universe.
