Serving and retired Sikh members of Malaysia’s police and armed forces gathered at Gurdwara Sahib Pulapol in Kuala Lumpur for a special prayer programme connected with the country’s Warriors’ Day commemorations.
The gathering recognized the service and sacrifices of Sikh personnel who have contributed to Malaysia’s law-enforcement and defence institutions. It also provided an opportunity for current officers, veterans and community members to remember those who lost their lives while performing public duties.
Malaysia observes Warriors’ Day, known locally as Hari Pahlawan, to honour members of its military and security services. The gurdwara programme highlighted the longstanding role played by Sikhs in these institutions.
