Autopsy indicated she was around seven weeks pregnant; old CCTV trail complicates investigation
The mother of Punjabi social-media influencer Manjit Kaur has appealed for the truth to emerge about the circumstances that led to her daughter’s death. Kaur died on August 26 after suffering severe burn injuries in an alleged attack on the night of July 3-4 near Morinda. Her family has alleged that she was abducted and assaulted, while also raising questions about why police did not record her statement earlier. Investigators are now tracing a nearly two-month-old sequence of events, with some CCTV footage no longer available. Police have also said the post-mortem examination indicated that Kaur was around seven weeks pregnant. The allegations against individuals named by the family remain under investigation.
