The domestic equity markets started Thursday’s session on a green note.
The S&P BSE Sensex opened at 35930.08 and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) barometer Nifty at 10800.20.
At 9:37 am, the 30-share Sensex traded at 35971.89, with a gain of 321.95 points or 0.90%, while the 50-scrip Nifty was at 10813.90, up 84.05 points or 0.78%.
The top gainers on the Sensex pack were Infosys, Heavyweights TC, and ICICI Bank.
Trading between 1.6% and 2.75%, Vedanta, Hindalco, Sun Pharma, Bajaj Finance and IndiaBulls Housing Finance were the top Nifty gainers.
Globally, the MSCI’s broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan up surged down 0.9%.
Meanwhile, the Bombay Stock Exchange index Sensex closed 179 points higher at 35,649, while the NSE Nifty50 settled at 10,729, with a gain of 66 points.
