Newsdesk – ‘Monkey pox’ is the new virus spreading around the world after pandemic strike of Corona Virus.
World Health Organisation has confirmed more than 80 cases in 12 countries , warning has been altered that more cases are likely to be reported. WHO says more than 50 suspect cases are reported from some countries which are yet to be confirmed if its ‘Monkeypox’ virus.
Early Moneypox virus infected cases were confirmed from Italy, Portugal, Sweden , US , UK. The virus is not communicable easily and does not spread fastly between people and risk to spread on mass level is very low. It is mild virus and affected person recovers in a few weeks.
There is no specific vaccine for the ‘Moneypox’ virus but ‘Smallpox’ vaccine provides 85 percent of protection as two viruses are quite similiar.
The WHO also warned to stigmatise people or groups infected with the virus.It further says it can a barrier in ending outbreak as it may prevent people from coming forward to seek care and medical help.
This virus can enter into body through broken skin, through eyes , nose and mouth and the respiratory tract.
The experts are of the view that Moneypox is not, commonly, said to be sexually transmitted disease but it could be passed during intercourse.
The symptoms of this disease appear in 3 to 4 days in the form and rash after having fever. The rash could start from face and then spread around other parts of body. The rash usually spreads itching and irritation. The suspected patients might be isolated in a negative pressure room.
