In the list of high-profile Facebook executives to quit this year, Neeraj Arora, WhatsApp Chief Business Officer is one of them.
On Monday, Neeraj Arora, WhatsApp CBO announced that he is leaving the company.
Seven months after Jan Koum, WhatsApp co-founder left the company, Arora’s resignation came.
Aroras has been linked with WhatsApp since 2011.
In a Facebook post, Arora wrote, “I am confident that WhatsApp will continue to be the simple, secure & trusted communication product for years to come.”
He also thanked WhatsApp co-founder Brian Acton and Jan Koum, who left the previous year.
When asked about Neeraj’s departure, Whatsapp refused to comment.
It is a very challenging time for Whatsapp as it has been dealing with rising international problems of users spreading wrong information to a large group of people around the world.
Campaigns were organized in top markets like Brazil and India by Whatsapp this year to educate users and help avoid spreading false information.
Additionally, in some recent months, Facebook has lost Instagram co-founders Mike Krieger and Kevin Systrom and Oculus co-founder Brendan Iribe.
In August, Chief Security Officer of Facebook, Alex Stamos left.
