Donald Trump

US President Donald Trump in a statement on Sunday defended his administration’s decision to end hundreds of millions of dollars in military aid to South Asian country.

In a recent interview, United States President said, “Pakistan doesn’t do ‘a damn thing’ for the US.”

Further Trump indicted that the government of Pakistan helped wanted terrorist Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden to hide in its garrison city.

However, in 2011, Laden was killed in a daring helicopter raid by the US Naval Special Warfare Development Group forces.

The ties between the two countries strained after Trump attacked at Pakistan for providing safe havens to “agents of chaos” that kill Americans in Afghanistan and warned Islamabad that it has “much to lose” by protecting terrorists.

The administration of Trump cancelled $300 million military aid to Islamabad in September for not doing enough against the terror groups active in their country.

Moreover, in the first two years of Trump’s presidency, Trump has been criticized by his opponents in politics for neither visiting Afghanistan nor Iraq.
