Chandigarh, March 19: The first meetings of the Academic & Activity Council and Executive Council of Maharaja Bhupinder Singh Punjab Sports University, Patiala (MBSPSU) was held at Punjab Bhawan, Chandigarh today under the Chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Lt. General Mr. Jagbir Singh Cheema. The meetings were well attended by both Government nominees and nominated members.
Pertinently, Academic and other activities of the University undertaken since establishment were highlighted to all the members and every point was discussed meticulously and members have given their suggestions, which will include accordingly in the policy. For the forthcoming academic session 2020-21, the various courses to be conducted, affiliation of Physical Education colleges and the long term perspective organisation structure of the University were discussed and approved with the consent of the members. The Executive Council nominated three members for Finance Committee as per the guidelines laid down in University Act.
Mrs. Surabhi Malik, IAS, Registrar of University, Mr. S.P.S. Grover, Finance Officer and staff members included Mr. Satish Kumar, Mr. Gurtar Singh, Mrs. Ramanpreet Kaur and Ms. Amandeep Kaur were also present on the occasion.
