Chandigarh: Taking another pro-people step, the Punjab Revenue Department has made online 19 Draft/Template of documents related to property registration. These documents are available on the department’s website and can be downloaded totally free of cost.

Giving this information, the Revenue Minister Mr. Sukhbinder Singh Sarkaria said these documents are editable and consumers can amend the documents according to their need.

To make the property registration process easier and people friendly, he said that a questionnaire with answers has also been uploaded on the department’s Website. These 23 questions-answers are related to basic and general queries of consumers regarding registration process at sub-registrar’s office. Revenue Minister said the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh led Punjab Government was fully committed to ensure transparent and corruption-free governance to the people. Revenue department is fast forwarding on digital path to provide hassle-free services to people of the state.

The Additional Chief Secretary Revenue-cum-FCR Mrs. Vini Mahajan said people was earlier totally dependent on deed writers or Advocates for property registration documents but now these 19 draft/template of documents are just a click away and available on the department’s websitewww.revenue.punjab.gov.in. Consumers can download these documents totally free of cost any time and it can also be filled by consumers. Besides reducing dependency on deed writers, she said, the new process will save the time and money of the people.

The documents which have put online included Agreement, Tatina Nama, Mortgage with Possession, Mortgage without Possession, Adoption Deed, Floor/Flat Registry, Partition Deed, Exchange Deed, Gift Deed, Lease Deed, General Power of Attorney, Special Power of Attorney (SPA), Cancellation of SPA, Cancellation of GPA, Cancellation of Will, Will, Sale of Property under Mortgage, Sale in favor of Mortgage and Sale Deed.

Apart from these, the ACS (Revenue) further said, for the convenience of the general public 23 such questions-answers have also been put on the website which are in the minds of the people at the time of registration. Such as what is the nature of the work carried out at the office of sub-registrar, working hours, how much is the fee, how to pay the fee, how and where to verify the documents and what documents are required for the registration. She said that Revenue Department is working on simplifying the process of registration and has made various modifications for facilitation of the general public.
