The equity benchmark indexes started on a strong note on Wednesday’s session.
In the first few minutes of the trading session, the S&P BSE Sensex gained 398.84 points or 1.13% to trade at 35,561.32 while the broader Nifty traded at 10,698.45, up 113.70 points or 1.07%.
So far the intraday high of the Nifty was 10,710.15 and that of Sensex was 35,605.43.
Top gainers in the Nifty pack were Yes Bank, Infosys, Bajaj Finance, UPL and Eicher Motors.
According to sources, the MSCI’s broadest index of Asia-Pacific stocks outside Japan added 0.7% and South Korea 1.2% in the global market.
Meanwhile, the 30-share Sensex ended 297.38 points higher to close at 35,162.48 and the Nifty50 closed at 72.25 points up to settle at 10,584.75.
