The equity benchmark indices opened Monday’s trade session on a green note.
At 10:37 am, the S&P BSE Sensex traded at 34,438.14, with a high of 122.51 points or 0.36% and the NSE Nifty50 was up 28.80 points or 0.28% to trade at 10,332.35.
All sectoral indices expect IT were trading in green in the morning session.
Major gainers in the 30-share Sensex pack were HDFC Bank, HDFC, SBIN, Vedanta, Adani Ports and ITC.
Eicher Motors, Bajaj Finance, IndiaBulls Housing Finance and HDFC Bank were the prominent gainers on the Nifty pack.
Meanwhile, the domestic stock markets listed deep losses on Friday with the BSE Sensex slipping 463 points to end at 34,315 and the Nifty50 shedding 149 points to settle at 10,303.
