The equity benchmark indexes opened in green on Thursday’s trading session. The Nifty50 index of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) started at 10,580.60.

The S&P Bombay Stock Exchange Sensex opened at 35,145.75.

After trading for few minutes, at 9:26 am, the BSE benchmark index Sensex traded high at 124.02 points or 0.35% to 35,266.01, while the NSE Nifty50 was at 10,606.50, up 30.20 points or 0.29%.

While in the global market, the MSCI’s widest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan was high 0.15%, the Australian shares gained 0.15% while Japan’s Nikkei fell 0.5%.

Asian stock market gains were limited after Wall Street expanded its current fall in overnight trade.

Meanwhile, the 30-share Sensex closed at 35,141.99 with a low of 2 points while the 50-scrip Nifty settled 6.2 points lower at 10,576.30.

According to the provisional NSE data, the domestic institutional investors sold and foreign portfolio investors purchased equity shares worth Rs. 272.24 crore and Rs. 277.38 crore respectively.
