The domestic stock markets started in the green on Friday’s trade session. The Nifty50 index of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) started at 10,644.80.
While the S&P Bombay Stock Exchange Sensitive Index opened at 35,494.86.
At 10:03 am, the 30-share Sensex traded at 35476.73, up 164.60 points or 0.47% while the 50-scrip Nifty was at 10627.15, with a gain of 26.00 points or 0.25%.
The top gainers in the Nifty pack were Yes Bank, Hindustan Petroleum, Vedanta, Indian Oil, and Bharat Petroleum, gaining between 1.41% and 1.99%.
Globally, the MSCI’s broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan edged up 0.4%, Chinese blue chips added 0.3% and Japan’s Nikkei 0.2%.
Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex ended at 35,312, with a loss of 617 points or 1.7%. The broader Nifty50 settled at 10,601, dropping 181 points on Thursday.
