The equity benchmark indexes started in the green on Wednesday’s session amid a crash in prices of crude oil.
The Sensex index of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) opened at 35,330.14 as compared to Tuesday’s close of 35,144.49.
And the National Stock Exchange (NSE) index Nifty50 started at 10,634.90 against its previous close of 10,582.50.
Just a few minutes in trade, the BSE Sensex traded at 35,318.51, with a gain of 174.02 points or 0.50%, while the broader Nifty50 was 53.55 points or 0.51 high, trading at 10,636.05.
Nifty may head towards the 10,900-mark suggests technical charts.
The domestic institutional investors purchased net equities worth Rs. 335.78 crore on Tuesday, according to provisional data from NSE.
Today, the Indian rupee opened at 72.18 against the American currency. Since 21st September, the rupee has marked its strongest level.
While on Tuesday, the Indian currency closed at 72.6750 against the greenback.
Meanwhile, the 30-share Sensex closed at 35,144, gaining 331 points, or 0.95% and the 50-scrip Nifty settled at 10,582, 100 points higher.
