That holiday parcel you usually get from friends and family from outside of Canada may not get you this season.
Canada Post has told mail services around the world to stop shipping mail here that because its yard are full and overflowing with undelivered mails.
A final push was given by the Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government to bring the Canada Post labor dispute to an end, suggesting it will act promptly if rotating strikes continue beyond a Saturday midnight deadline for the most recent contract offers from the Crown corporation.
On Friday, the Crown corporation said that its domestic customers are backed up with packages waiting for delivery as rotating strikes continues for the 26th day.
Canada Post Backlogs:

- Major players, Royal mail, China Post and USPS (US Postal Services) among largest
- Canada Post’s yards cannot handle more mail
In an interview, Hamilton said that there are 600 trailers full of parcels backed up across Canada post while 400 in Toronto alone, each trailer containing an average of 2,500 parcels.
