Chandigarh – Four time congress MLA Sukhwinder Sukhu sworn in as 15th chief minister of Himachal Pardesh. The swearing-in ceremony which was organised at Shimla, was attended by Senior Congress leaders including president Malikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also congratulated Sukhu on taking oath as chief minister Himachal Pardesh. PM also assured all possible cooperation from centre government for the development of the state.

The Governor of Himachal Pardesh Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar administrated the oath of office and secrecy to Sukhu who is 58 years old and also to Mukesh Agnihotri who was leader of the opposition in outgoing assembly , he will be the first deputy chief minister of state.
