In a group competition played in the Hockey World Cup 2018 at Odisha, the Indian team has won two of the three matches, while the third match was a draw.
India had whitewash South Africa in their opening match by 5-0, while the match against Belgium was drawn from 2-2.
In the last match of the league round, India defeated Canada by 5-1 and entered the quarter-finals.
However, this challenge can be even more difficult for India in its upcoming match since Team India has proved to be ill-fated in the penalty corner.
So far in the World Cup, the worst performance amongst the top five teams in the penalty corner is that of Team India.
In its three matches, India has so far been able to achieve only 30.7% in the penalty.
However, India is only ahead of the Netherlands (16%) and Belgium (27.7%).
While Australia (33.3%) and Argentina (41.6%) record are better than India.
Team India’s bad performance, in the case of penalty corners, has been witnessed earlier beside this World Cup.
