Before raising any finger on Bikram Majithia, AAP should ask its Convener Arvind Kejriwal why he tendered a written apology to him : Arshdeep Kaler
Akali Dal will consider taking legal action against Kang for contempt of court
Chandigarh – Shiromani Akali Dal today asked Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann why he was mum after his claims on detention of gangster Goldy Brar had fallen flat even after interviews of Goldy Brar challenging this fact had appeared in public domain.
Addressing a press conference here this evening, SAD Spokesman and Legal Advisor Advocate Arshdeep Singh Kaler said it was shocking that more than three days had passed since the Chief Minister made a tall claim on detention of Goldy Brar in USA by US agencies in Gujarat with a sole motive to garner votes for AAP. He said since then neither the Indian Foreign Ministry, nor Home Ministry or even Punjab DGP had confirmed the chief minister’s claims. He said the US agencies had also not uttered a word on claims of the Punjab CM.
Lashing out at AAP Spokesman Malvinder Kang claims on patronizing of gangsters by the earlier government, Advocate Kaler reminded AAP leader that renowned Singer Sidhu Moosewala had been killed by gang of Lawrance Bishnoi while sitting in Delhi’s Tihar Jail which was under direct control of Arvind Kejriwal led AAP Government. He said that the truth is that AAP government in Punjab has totally failed to tackle law and order situation in Punjab and now it was trying to blame earlier governments for its own failure.
Mocking claims of AAP leader on senior Akali leader Bikram Singh Majithia, SAD Spokesman said that it seems that AAP leaders have forgotten that their National Convener Arvind Kejriwal has tendered written apology in the court on the issue. He asked them whether they were above Kejriwal in party hierarchy.
Taking serious note of comments made by AAP Spokesman on bail granted by Punjab and Haryana High Court to Majithia, Advocate Kaler said that his comments were direct contempt of court and they will weigh all legal options against him in the matter.
He said that fact of the matter is that today drugs are available in each and every corner of the state and even people have shown this to their Ministers many times in past eight months. He said that instead of admitting their own failures and taking corrective measures, AAP government was trying to pass the buck on earlier government, which was a shameless act.
