Serum Institute of India’s (SII) CEO Adar Poonawalla spoke about the COVID-19 vaccine shortage in India. “I’ve been victimised very unfairly and wrongly.”

He added, “There were no orders, we did not think we needed to make more than one billion (100 crore) doses a year.” Poonawalla expects the shortage will likely continue through July.
